Land fragmentation in India has led to nearly 25% of productive lands being lost to bunding, pathways etc, and also hinders adoption of modern technology & scientific management.
We have been trying to initiate a project in Tamil Nadu to bring small farmers together, to pool their lands and work on it themselves and increase production & returns. However, the Social Dimensions are too complex, and in both locations that we tried, we had to pull-out after considerable investment & effort.
Are there any successful models in India or elsewhere of successful collective farming that we can learn from?

Yes, collective farming also know as cooperative farming in Ghana is a success, where small scale farmers are put into cooperative association to find markets for their products and also enable them to access loan which each farmer could not have had access to. This gives them the advantage to access international markets as well for large supplies
