Biomimicry/biomimetics is a field that focuses on learning from nature and using nature's principles to design/produce things that are sustainable. However, in reality, only the inspiration seems to come from nature but all other aspects of modern design, from design to manufacturing, has negative impact on the environment. It is like the concept of biomimicry is being used as a promotional tool rather than as way to create sustainable designs. Any thoughts?
