What are the effects of hot desking (no desks assigned at workplace, and everyday people seat on any place available) on workers' well-being? Any recent research? Meta-analysis?

You might like to check out some recent research into activity-based working, a similar concept to hot-desking but with the added qualification that employees should be able to find a space to work from which is suited to the activity they need to be complete.
