As per my knowledge am giving my opinion for your question; Titanium alloys present superior properties such as high strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to corrosion but, possess poor machinability. Coated/uncoated carbide cutting tools are mainly used for machining of titanium alloys.
You need to decide the cutting tool based on your machining conditions.
If you are planning mid-range cutting speed, feed rate then go for coated carbide tools. Else, you can used ceramic tools which give high machining performance.
Please let me know details, I will suggest best choice.
Machining of titanium alloys is depend on type of application. generally most of the researcher has chosen EDM or LBM processes for the machining of titanium alloys.
