I am looking for a C++ library for stress analysis of simple 3D structures. I know there exist some libraries like dealii; however, it is very detailed, and I believe, would require a review of extensive documentation.

GetFEM++ is a generic finite element C++ open-source library with interfaces for Python, Matlab and Scilab. You can also make C++ program by using it. I think the object-oriented design is very excellent and user friendly

You can find the example of 3D structures analysis here. It is the example of Python interface, but it is easy to translate to C++.

.NET, object-oriented. Easy to use from vb.net or c#. Extremely fast and robust for large scale models as well. Static, dynamic analysis and geometric non-linear analysis as well. We use it over the last five years and are absolutely happy.
