One of my colleague got the same vague email signed with the name "Eva Rok". Neither this potential Ms Rok nor Kim Harris mentionned above seem to exist in LinkedIn or any other social network that we can search thru Google. VERY suspicious. There is no civic address on their website and no information is available for it publicly through whois: "redacted for privacy"... It was registered very recently. It really stinks...
I also just got an email from this company. I went to their website and in their research topics do not even have my research field. I believe it is spam.

They seem to be creative with the names, but the rest is the same.
I got the same message, and so many other messages. Students and faculty are falling under the hands of spammers and scammers.
This is the email I received yesterday (below). I have looked at their website; none of their work aligns with my research. I don't find this email credible.

No website address, e-mail, post, function etc are mentioned in the e-mail signature. That was the first thing that got me suspicious. Secondly, the name Kim Harris sounds so generic.
Nothing to get excited about. unfortunately.

I got their invitation this morning. When I asked them about procedural details they answered quite promptly but this is what they wrote:
"As you know , VSR is an academic information sharing platform and some of our supporters provide us with fund to support scientific research project they are interested in,however,in return,they want the beneficiaries to have their name on the paper. That is to say ,you can obtain the fund by share the authorship of your papers. It will be a double win result I suppose." (boldface added by me).
I think their intent is clear enough...

I keep getting such mails and offers from several individuals to claim to represent some organization. I simply ignore and delete such messages.
I have obtained from them 200 000 EUR - in a dream. Then I waked up.
I think they will ask you to add names in your publications. In Malaysia some people are ready to pay to add their names in ISI or Scopus journals so they can get promotion
For them this is just business.
"The amount of grant depends on quality of your papers and the part or full authourship you'd like to share with us. For articles belong to Q1-Q2, we usually pay $3000- $5000 for full authorship (which means all the authors appear on the paper come from our part ) and $1000-$2000 for the first authorship (the first authorship comes from our part). For articles belong to Q3-Q4, we will pay $2000-$3000 for the full authorship and $500-$1500 for the first authorship."
