I'm currently examining a series of surveys conducted immediately before and after fox control operations. Control operations have been conducted twice-yearly for nearly a decade, but surveys have only been done over the last four years. Some surveys suggest a short term decrease in fox activity after control, but most don't. Comparisons with nearby areas suggest that fox activity is much lower in the controlled area, but it’s impossible to tell how much of this difference is due to abundance or detectability, so they’re not directly comparable.

I'm hoping to provide a bit of context to the observed results within the controlled site, particularly with reference to what might happen if fox control programs were stopped.
