I am transfecting MDCK cells and wondering if there are any things to look out for using this transfection reagent, or if anyone has any positive or negative reviews using this reagent.
I'm using Altogen's MDCK-optimized transfection reagent—a polymer-based kit that includes a Transfection Enhancer and Complex Condenser. The official protocol yields ≥ 73% siRNA knockdown in qRT-PCR assays. Be sure to seed MDCK cells 12–24 h before transfection, and while the Enhancer and Condenser can boost efficiency, they may increase cytotoxicity, so titration is key. Overall feedback is that it performs well; just optimize for your constructs and monitor cell health.
