This sometimes happens on machines with Windows system. I guess there problem in memory handling. There may not be enough memory for Windows partition.
Another option is to run Fluent with -serv option, which means, run Fluent from command line such as:
fluent 2ddp -serv
if it doesn't help try to run with -driver option and select appropriate driver.
Yes, as I understand it, Dinesh is correct. Though, I do not know ANSYS Fluent. I have not even worked with ANSYS for a very long time. I am just guessing that Windows system may have insufficient memory to sustain that kind of a partition.
Sorry to be so vague and give an answer which probably does not help you, but, I do not know ANSYS Fluent.
Thank you all for the contribution but Dinesh am not really an expert with Fluent so how do i run using the command line as you talking about? Thank you
in ANSYS 15.0 I am having the same problem trying to simulate squeeze casting using VOF and K-epsilion Turbulence model. please has anybody been able to solve this problem
"Segmentation fault" error can be the result of using k-omega in order to modeling turbulence.Using k-omega avoids saving of 'epsilon' and can lead to "Segmentation fault".
