Hi , I am working on simulating the airflow on a part. However I want the enclosure to match with the base of my part.In other words I do not want air flowing under it. FLUENT dosen't allow me to make an enclosure with cushion 0. Is there a way to do it? Thank you.
As far as I understood, your two bodies (part & enclosure) have a common boundary at the base, which is not allowed in Fluent. Every part should have a close loop, no boundary should overlap or coincide with any other boundary (else two boundary will have the same name).
hence, simple remove the base enclosure boundary name only at the portion where your part is in contact with the base.

Even I faced the same issue when simulating a hypersonic flow case.
True the cushion can't be set to 0. Hence what I did was set the cushion to 0.000001. This is an almost negligible cushion and I had my results well within the accepted values. The airflow at the cushion was also not present in my case.
I do not know of your case, but you can give this a try and see if it works for you.

Hi Jason Jose . I tried setting the cushion on required side to 0.00001. However during the initialization had this error" Warning: convergence tolerance of 1.000000e-06 not reached during Hybrid Initialization." Any suggestions?
