Ansys explicit dynamics conpution time vs end time?

I cannot really understand, so I will need a little help. I have an explicit dynamic simulation. If I set the end time to 0,0001s it finishes in a few minutes, but if I set it to 1s (which is the real scenario) it runs for hours. And it does not simulate the full prescribed displacement load, unfortunately.

I do not change any settings.

My question is : what is the reason for that and how can I speed up the simulation?
