I am interested in learning about the use of augmented reality (AR) Android apps in educational settings. Are there any educators or students who have experience using AR apps in the classroom or during remote learning? I would appreciate any insights or examples of how AR apps have been used to enhance the educational process.

There are a couple of resources that can really enhance the students' outcomes through AR/VR.
You or your students can create your own experiences with OpenSpace3D (www.openspace3d.com) or with AR Scavenger Hunt activity from the H5P (https://h5p.org/content-types/ar-scavenger).
You can also view some augmented reality scenes even on the Google Search (support.google.com/websearch/answer/9817187?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid).
In my last experience with AR, I used the AR Solar System app with a Science class, and I believe that the best insight I took was guiding the exploration with problems, like "Which planet is the hottest in the Solar System?" or "Which planets have a year longer than the Earth?", rather than just using the app to visualize the Solar System.
