This question is related to the cost-effective production of value added chemicals/ products from lignocellulosic biomass (LCB). LCB is one of the abundant material present on the earth, which is polymer of glucose molecules. The major problem linked with the economical production of value added chemicals from such LCB is the efficient yield of fermentable sugars or unlocking of glucose molecules after suitable pretreatment process. In this context, which pretreatment techniques are most effective and economical for unlocking sugars from LCB?
