Has anyone got any experience of using the Amcube pressure plate with Footworks Pro software? I have a load of static standing balance measurements that the software provides (movement of centre of pressure in the AP plane etc) but can’t get path length or mean velocity etc. Is there a way to do this? ive heard people have used MATLAB but I’ve no experience of this. Pete Turton You have measurements data in .csv or .txt? You can easily access data in any of the mentioned formats in matlab and do the required processing. Matlab is a simple tool with wide resources that can help you in getting the results.
Steps are quite simple : After installation and opening Matlab, Open a new script
1. load filename.txt or .csv (you can see a variable name in workspace where the loaded data is stored
2. code the algorithms for calculating path and mean velocity. If the measurements are displacement data you could just differentiate by using diff() function and take the mean of it to get mean velocity
3. I am not sure of how to calculate path length because in the measurement there could be in-between pauses or standing which has to be taken into account
