it could be little bit tricky for you if you are not familiar with data proccessing and analysis. You should start with some basic course about statistics/chemometrics (maybe some is available at your university) and then try to analyse some data to get deeper insight and understanding. It can be quite a long way to be familiar with statistical analyses, and of course, long way to do it correctly.
I recommend you to find someone who help you with your data analysis (someone at your university) and take statistical course to better understand the way how your data analysis will be done.
