I am conducting a multiple-case study where I intend to compare a specific aspect between the two countries. When considering data analysis approaches, I came across TA several times but have not found another approach, so I wonder whether there is a more suitable choice to consider.
Have you considered using Framework analysis? It is a widely used method which allows both inductive and deductive coding. This is the approach we will use in our current study which employs case study design. Have a look at Srivastava, A. & Thomson, S. B. Assuming you still want to keep the methods qualitative, you may want to consider IPA (in case you already have defined epistemological view/stance from which you think you can interpret the data) or Grounded Theory (in case you approach the data from no theoretical background at all).
If thematic analysis does not seem reasonable for your research, you can also check content analysis.
