I have little problem, i want to know only this kind of problem with me, or also other researcher face same issue
I am preparing CsPbI2Br perovskite with precursor CsI+PbI2+PbBr2 in DMF:DMSO ratio 2:1 PbI2 is not completely dissolved even solution is little whitish means CsI also not dissolve completly on hotplate at 70C

I would second Farshad.
And increase to it, every material has its dissolving conditions in a solvent such as the temperature and the maximum solid solubility. So, the solution to solve them all in the solvent one has to solve them separately to realize the their dissolution conditions.
It will be useful to report about your correct procedure.

To prepare this ink you should make three separate solutions, then mix them all.
First dissolve PbI2 in the solvent at 150 C, when you see a clear yellow solution, you can remove it from the hot plate and let it cool down. Then dissolve CsI and PbBr2 in the solvent each in a separate container. Finally, add up three solutions together.
Farshad Jafarzadeh Thanks for Suggestion I will do in this way, now i am using DMF:DMSO 2:1 ratio, so can you suggest how to manage this ratio in dissolving separate chemicals
Darya Khan You should dissolve all precursors with the same concentration in DMF:DMSO (2:1) and add them based on your desired stoichiometry.
For example, if you wanna prepare 2 ml of perovskite ink with 0.5 M concentration and equivalent ratio of iodide and bromide, you need 0.5 mol CsI, 0.25 mol PbI2, and 0.25 mol PbBr2 per 1 ml solvent . So you prepare these solutions:
- A: 259.8 mg CsI + 0.66 ml DMF + 0.33 ml DMSO
- B: 230.5 mg PbI2 + 0.33 ml DMF + 0.16 ml DMSO
- C: 183.5 mg PbBr2 + 0.33 ml DMF + 0.16 DMSO
Then you mix them together.
Note that you should prepare B and C solutions at elevated temperature. After dissolving, let them cool down. Also, you should find the optimum ink concentration to obtain high quality thin films depending on your deposition technique.
