All humans are in search of knowledge and happiness. They are moving from darkness to Light, obscurity to Enlightenment. They extract information from people relating to life problems, analyse and interpret it too for positive solutions and implications for the self and others. We can say a child, an adult and senior in age humans are sailing in the boat of research everyday for new insights and solutions to life problems.

In the beginning I must say that you have this habit of generating some great topics for discussion and I enjoy going through them.
Research is of two types, organized and unorganized. The research that we pursue in universities, institutes etc. are examples of organized research. On the other hand, the research that we pursue everyday, in our daily life is an example of unorganized research. I shall give you a simple example. Suppose this evening I go out with my wife. While being outside, my wife tells me that she would like to have some South Indian food. I tried to find out a restaurant that would serve my wife's and my purpose. This is also a type of research. This is unorganized research. All of us are researchers. We are into research every day of our life, at every moment of our life. Research is the process of finding answers of questions. In this modern era we are surrounded with questions. At every possible stage we need to find out the answers of these questions. So we are all engaged in research. Yes, all humans are researchers.

All humans are Researcher. But, unfortunately, many are not ready to learn the act of conducting a research work. Likewise, all humans are teachers. But, there are many unprofessional teachers.
Agree with u as each person has his/her own issue that he/she seeks the answer to. So it is not obligatory for the human to be a reasearcher only in the scientific manner/field, as each/ everyone of us is capable to searching for his/her own value in life.

I agree, only, not all people are able to understand that they are really researchers. On our side as teachers and academics is the ability to infect and transmit the energy necessary to give the true meaning to research. Research without social relevance is nothing more than an empty collection of scientific articles.
