Sir you should add some outdoor work ... Like planting some different types of wheat in pots... You can also give them assignments to find most commonly used genetically modified fields ☺ you can also ask them to designe  vactors on paper according to given condition ☺

I have already these thing are in my mind, but I am trying to explore more options.
