After getting GO gel by repeated washing with DI water can I exfoliate it immediately without drying it? In that case it is observed that the solution color is more intense but it does not show any Tyndall effect in presence of light. My question is can i get the exfoliated sheets of GO by this method?

Graphite oxide, after oxidation process can be exfoliated in colloidal form after washing many times. After ultrasonication of purified suspension, monolayered GO is produced, although the trick here is you need the right amount to produce consistent batch of single-layered GO. In my experience, this is the hardest step.
