I work in a veterinary pathology lab and we do immunohistochemistry staining by hand on all types of tissues that are FFPE. We have particular difficulty getting dermatopathology (skin) samples to stay on the slides during staining. The tissue tends to fall off or wrinkle. We are using charged slides, being very gentle during wash steps, but this still happens with some regularity. We don't have this issue with other tissue types, so I am wondering what characteristics of skin contribute to this, and if there are ways to prevent tissue loss.

Thanks!
