Advantages and disadvantages on choice of animal model for bone ingrowth into porous implants?

I have already looked at a few review articles. Mostly focused on "ANIMAL MODELS FOR IMPLANT BIOMATERIAL RESEARCH IN BONE: A REVIEW." I was wondering if anyone else has additional information of why you would choose one animal model over another.
