Dear RG members
Research is a way to find definite or valuable information or results from the number of responses by an individual/from an experiment you did to evaluate or solve problems. However, this journey requires more advices from senior researchers.
Warmly welcoming your advice.
I wish you to stay healthy in this period of covid-19.
Choose good topics and rely on sober and documented sources and try to use modern measures with statistical tests. I emphasize the use of statistics and search for scientific journals with an impact factor for publication in them.
Dear Jinan Abdul Ameer Abbas
Thank you very much.
I really appreciate your opinion.
Stay healthy.
The must try to find a solution to big scientific contravesies in their field.
Get a course in statistic
1. Learn English (as well as other languages optional)
2. The most important thing is to choose the direction you like.
3. Conducting research on current issues
4. Using modern tools
5. Using modern methods
6. Not plagiarism
7. Able to search for information on the selected topic (some may not know how to find it on the Internet.)
8. Registration on the necessary sites for the scientist (research gate, for example)
Dear Kenjabek Rozumbetov Vadim S. Gorshkov
Aqeel K. HatemThank you very much for good advices
I wish you to stay healthy
Dear Kenjabek Rozumbetov
I thank you very much.
Your advice is strong and well narrated for young research.
God bless you and your family
There will be a lot of pressure on young researchers (from senior scientists/colleagues). This may not be seen in large countries, but it is happening in small countries. I do not want to scare anyone with this. The truth is so
For young researchers, I believe the greatest advise is to encourage them to read widely in order to keep up with current events and to learn about findings from other studies that are comparable to theirs.
In addition, You're on your own journey, with your own ideas and viewpoints. Keep this in mind if your supervisor or coworkers suggest otherwise. Yes, listen, but more importantly, be mindful of your own plan and analyze how those fresh ideas fit into it in the long term.
Dear Theogene Hakuzweyezu
Thank you very much for your opinion.
Keep strong every time.
Use your youth and attack research with everything!
Do not leave laboratory one day without feeling that you have progressed more than yesterday!
Dear Prof. Filipe Wiltgen
Yes! your advice is a key of young researchers.
I really appreciate your good advice.
God bless you, God bless your family.
Stay healthy endlessly.
Dear Gratien Twagirayezu ,
Thank you for your ever-present kindness.
I wish you all the best, your family, your health and your research!
My best regards,
Wiltgen
Being a researcher, I would say that one should always have a positive approach and dedication to his/her work.
Staying focus to the particular research yields better outcome than poking into different topics.
Even if the result/outcome is not as per the expectation, one mustn't lose hope and keep trying and think differently to achieve the desired goal.
Don't always think of research but enjoy doing other activities and spend time with your near and dear ones which will keep one's spirit high.
Thanks.
Dear Samit Karmakar
Wawooooo!well narrated and deep fertile advice.
We will always follow this advice.
keep safe and healthy
Dear @Gratien Twagirayezu
Based on my own experience, I can summarize a few useful suggestions:
1. A researcher is really poor without an ambition,
2. Know your limitations, but focus on your strength,
3. Even talent goes in vain without hard work and strong will power,
4. There is no free lunch,
5. Either work or perish,
6. Half measures don't succeed,
7. Give yourself positive autosuggestion,
8. Put positive interpretations at others' behavior,
9. Be grateful, but don't expect gratitude, and
10. Always keep eyes at the goal.
Dear Prof. Arbind K. Choudhary
Thank you so much! Thank you so much!
We are lucky to have you in our life. There is no success without successor.
Be safe and healthy.
God bless you and your family
Every researcher enrichment of knowledge is most important. All the researcher must should share their views with the fellow researchers. Always be in positive mode to find the solutions for the problems.
Dear Rajashekhar Mandla
Thank you so much for good inspiration.
we will always be focused and finding solutions for the problem.
Stay healthy endlessly
Thank you for your question .. Try to search for topics related to your specialization and conclude realistic solutions for the project that you are looking for .. and benefit from the experience and directives that searches in your same specialization and benefit from the scientific sites and the research in which they are published
Dear Jinan Abdul Ameer Abbas
Thank you very much for your good and valuable advise.
All the best for you.
Keep safe and healthy endlessly
This is a good question. My advice is that young researchers should systematically develop their researcher identities. They should keep positive attitude, and learn though failures that all researchers are doing. They should try to find such collaborators who have very good expertize in their field. I think that also Arbind K. Choudhary and Samit Karmakar and Filipe Wiltgen proposed very good ideas.
A young researcher must be ambitious, dedicated, courageous, motivated, diligent and always ready to adopt new ideas and techniques.
its interesting because I just finished my master degree and I find it hard to start alone and on the other hand many people said if someone wanted to be a good researcher he or she should have PHD . I really like doing research if you have any advice for me I really be appreciated to share with me
Dear Raimo Kaasila
I really appreciate your valuable and good advice.
Keep safe and healthy.
yes! of course, Abdulraheem Mukhtar Iderawumi , A young researcher must be ambitious, dedicated, courageous, motivated, diligent and always ready to adopt new ideas and techniques.
Thank you very much
God bless you endlessly
Dear Nazanin nazanin Hajimohammadtaghi

Young Researcher means researchers in the first 10 years (full-time equivalent) of their research activity, including the period of research training, since gaining a university (or equivalent institution of higher education) degree giving access to doctoral studies in the country in which the degree was obtained...
Thank you very much Bashdar Mahmud Hussen for good and valuable advice.

The young researchers should know that in the people’s mind recreation is more important than research. Most of the research scholars always lead a poor financial life. Researchers are not for themself but for the whole Nations.
Dear Tarik Hossain
Thank you for your good advice. As young researchers, we should consider that.
Stay healthy
There is one big advice:
Go to ResearchGate, start following everyone whose aerticles you read, bring in early versions (preprints) and commit to discussions where you are able to contribute.
Academic selfmarketing and networking.
Dear Ralf Erlebach
Thank you very much for this big advice.
I really appreciate your contribution.
Keep safe and strong
Dear Gratien Twagirayezu,
I am a RG member for many years but I begun to use all of its features just some months ago. I wish I would have started much earlier.
So, I give this advice to every new fellow researcher: RG offers more than just a platform to download articles. ;-)
Choosing an advisor. This is pretty important, to understate things. What you should look for in an advisor:
Get an established advisor, who doesn't try to put you down but is proud of you.
Get one with an 'old-boy' network. Contacts are important.
Does the guy take time to teach beginners?
Are you comfortable with him?
Does he teach 'survival skills'?
Do he and his group have a sense of purpose?
Do his students have a good story? If not, move on.
Try to ensure that your advisor is a mentor. At least two mentors is a good thing. One more thing: be yourself when it comes to research. The advisor is there to help you with your research, you're not there to help him with his.

Research
Do NOT just do interesting problems. (Unless you happen to be a genius.)
Have a THEME, around which to base your research. That way, whenever you begin a talk or paper, you can tell the audience/reader why you're interested in this particular esoteric topic. Let them know that you know where you're going.
Make your theme COMPELLING. Make it a program that maximises the chances of a continued job and scientific achievement. Yes, strategy is important. Get on a good track, then you can have fun in it.
Do not be single minded. Sure, you may have a single theme, but if it's a good one then there should be many ways to branch out from it.
Read widely in the related literature.
Ask questions about where the field is going.
Don't get involved in research with someone who's out to make a name for himself no matter what. Work with someone established or with someone with different skills from yours (e.g. knowledge of a different subject area.)

My advice to youngsters is that they should contribute to the community.
A young researcher participating in particle particle-oriented research activities.
Thank you again Rajkumar Sivanraju for your contribution

My humble suggestion from my budding experience is that, doing a Research alone is not sufficient unless it is published in a Good journal preferably in PubMed or Scopus or a highly indexed journal. So, every budding researcher should equally focus on allocating finance for research work and publication + upgrading their research works + selecting the right journal + using the right language to convey their beautiful efforts through publishing it and gain a long term value to science contribution.
Dear Praveena Raman
Thank you very much for your contribution, I really appreciate you.
Be safe and healthy
I always give young researchers, namely Ph.D. candidates, only one straightforward piece of advice: to acknowledge that research is always researching what we don't know.
Thank you very much Ivo Carneiro de Sousa for your valuable advice
Be safe and healthy all the time
Thank you very much Adrian Twissell

Young researchers need to turn to more experienced researchers for advice.
Spend 3 hours each day going through the works of 10 researchers you respect to understand their style. Very often, it is the style that leads to publication.
Dear Chuck A Arize , Jose Risomar Sousa
Thank you very much for your fruitful advice.
Stay safe and healthy
Your work will never be perfect. Just listen to the referees and get an editor.
Dear Salma Haque , Chuck A Arize , Ademilade Olubambi
Thank you for your good contribution
Stay safe
Never stop
Be consistent in your efforts
Publish your work in reputed journals only
To pay enormous attention to incoming data, processing and outgoing data.
The rest comes by itself.
They should cut a niche in a given research domain, read widely about that area and always strive to publish in high impact journals or conferences.
I passionately appeal to young researchers (like me) to be determined, disciplined, diligent and embrace academic honesty while building their research integrity. Furthermore, they should not ignore research guidance, collaborative effort and tutelage from experienced senior researchers, which may go a long way in making their research journey a smooth sailing one. Thanks!!!
If you are in a researcher position, continually seek for innovative ways of doing things and keep an eye on the advancement of the industry.
Young researchers should read more scientific articles and the work of foreign professors. They should conduct research experiments.
