Hi,

DSC is a method suitable for the study of phase transformations at high temperatures.

I have found some studies on austenite decomposition [1] and carbide precipitation [2] of low-carbon steels conducted with DSC.

Is it possible to also determine the Ac1 and Ac3 temperatures with this method? I was thinking 0.2C-1.5Mn-1.5Al type compositions.
