I need to increase my knowledge regarding the corrosion of iron and its alloys. A good reference (or two, or ten) for learning about calculating corrosion potentials and currents using the Mixed Potential Theory would be highly appreciated!
Mixed potential theory (MPT) includes anodic and cathodic polarization and hence diffusion of materials from anode and cathode is related to flow of current in electrolyte. MPT allows in helping to develop Evan's diagram. There are many books written on corrosion but MG Fontana book "Corrosion Engineering" published by Mcgraw - Hill and "Principles & Prevention of Corrosion" by DA Jones would prove to be a great help.
Thank you for these answers! I started with the Handbook of Corrosion Engineering by P. Roberge. It's good to know there is an additional source of information as well.
