At the application of the Analog-Digital-Microprocessor (ADµP™) for formant measurement, analysis and synthesis I have found that the frequency of the second formants corresponds to the frequency of the second harmonic. Now, it must be decided whether the Analog-Digital-Microprocessor to ascertain the second harmonic. This implies more computing time and less performance.

A priori, there is no correlation between the harmonics and the formant frequencies of a spoken word. Imagine you are saying a vowel (such as /a/) on different pitches. The formant frequencies remain more of less constant while the fundamental frequencies f0 and upper harmonics vary (if f0 is in the speech range). The coincidence of 2*f0 and F2 can happen but it can not be a general case. In the singing voice, the belting technique (such as in Bulgarian singing or in music theatre singing style) is characterized by the tuning of the *first* formant (F1) to the second harmonic 2*f0.

I am afraid the answer is: no. The average F0 is 220 Hz for female voice and 120 Hz for men's voice, which gives F2 at is 440 and 240 Hz respectively. The range of the second formant in Polish, for the vowel "u", which has the lowest formant, is from 550 through 750 Hz. "I" has the highest 2nd formant and ranges from 2100 through 2600 Hz. Thus, the chance of coincidence is negligible.

The fundamental frequency (Fo) and harmonics are called as source (S) this gets modified by vocal tract (Transfer function T). Based on resonance of vocal tract harmonics gets modified and forms as Formats.
In general format frequencies dose not match with Harmonics. If they do its rare case.
