Recently, I am learning some abaqus contact knowledge. But now I face a pretty incredible problem. The analytical rigid bodies cause a pretty excessive penetration during the simulation.
(The contact type is cntact pair, hard contact, fiction is 0.15, surface to surface.)
Can anyone can give me some advices about this problems?
It seems like the rigid bodies on the bottom are not in contact with the body in the middle, can you confirm that? I assume that the body in the middle is using hexahedral solids (C3D8)? How did you define the rigid bodies? Make sure that your surfaces are defined correctly, e.g. if you are using shell for the rigid bodies, make sure that you are using the correct side (SNEG, SPOS) in the surface definition, same for the center body (S1 to S6).
I think you should specify that you are simulating in an implicite or explicite environment
