I am trying to model a simple Pile-Soil interaction in Abaqus, but I always get Solve Problem, Zero Pivot + Overconstaint problems, I tried many different ways to remove the overconstaint and zero pivot but they cannot be removed, I appreciate your help.
Have you checked for rigid-body modes occuring before materials come in contact? They might be responsible.
You might also switch to a dynamic analysis (with option analysis=quasistatic), if the problem is due to an instability.

Thank you ever so much for replying. I have tried many things, at the moment, I am trying to model a pile in undrained clay. I have a single layer of soil, I believe that I apply every thing correctly, but I get problem when I apply interactions (surface to surface with tangential property) the program solves the problem but the results and the animation of the counters are not correct. I have the model ready , if you think you can have a look at it , I can send it to you please.
