If I have two groups with a certain event (e.g. death) and have also the event and total for each group in the studies with different follow-up time. How to get the adjusted models by person-years to obtain pooled log-rate ratios and the respective CIs?

1- The person-years RR means the incidence of the event.
2- If you have the event/total for each group and want to calculate the RR with SE and CI, you can use this online tool: https://www.medcalc.org/calc/relative_risk.php
3- For pooling them as Logs.
I think you are using RevMan. Right? In this case, when selecting the outcome analysis method, instead of selecting (Dichotomous Outcome), select (Generic Inverse Variance). Then in the outcome measure, select (other), you can see on the right down an arrow with two options (Hazard Ratio and Rate Ratio), select the Rate Ratio. You will then be able to pool the Log of RR with its SE (but not CI).
