I start learning about synchronization between different states and criticality in Parkinson's disease. Would it be possible for someone to recommend a relevant and practical review paper that examines the new challenges arising in this field?
Hi Sheida, here are a few papers that I believe are relevant in this regard:
Article Insights into Parkinson’s disease from computational models ...
Article Oscillatory activity in the cortico-basal ganglia-thalamic n...
Article Alterations in Neuronal Activity in Basal Ganglia-Thalamocor...
Article Local field potentials in Parkinson's disease: A frequency-b...
The last reference is the most recent one. Also, they all have a slightly different approach. The first one focusses on computational modeling of basal ganglia circuits and how they can explain emergence of synchronization, the second one focusses on experimental results in this regard, the third one is more specific to animal models of PD, and the final one more specific to DBS recordings performed in human subjects.
