Our study group has a new potential drug for COVID-19 named
Now, we want to perform invitro drug studies; however we have a problem.
We could not find a SARS-cov-2 infected lung cells in any commercial area like ATCC.
At that point, we have to obtain the cell line and virus.
Before that, I want to ask that is there anybody that have virus infected cell line?
If possible, please let me know.
Or any suggestion about the protocol or way for forming virus infected cell line?

I think it is difficult to get infected cells because of the security stress

I also know that the most important medicine maybe a vaccine; however I do not all agree with you. As you know, even there has been an influenza vaccine and most of people have been vaccinated; they may have the flu. Then, they have to use Enfluvir or sometihng like that. I think, SARS-CoV-2 will be added to the multiplex SARI panel after the pandemia. So, people have to use antivirals. On the other hand, the virus (RNA virus) have a high potential to have mutations. So, the vaccine can not be protective all the times. In my opinion, antiviral agent studies are as important as vaccine studies. Thanks for your valuable recommendation.

It has been a while since you have asked question. Even now we are looking the same. My basic doubt/question which will have help you but for me, do you have BSL4 lab facility in your department. If yes, you can use any Human Lung cells and infect with Virus, which also you could isolation from any COVID-19 patient.
You could thoroughly understand Cell and Virus interaction.
