I would like to prepare GUVs (Giant Unilamerllar Vesicles) from inverted emulsion droplets. I found many protocols that describe the final step to collest GUVs by centrifugation: " GUVs were colledcted through a HOLE opened by a NEEDLE after centrifugation at the BOTTOM of the TEST TUBE".
Does anybody have any idea what kind of test tube (plastic, glass...) and what kind of needle can be used?

In literature it is reported that methods such as:
Polymerization-Induced Self-Assembly (PISA) Reaction
will produce "Giant Unilamellar Vesicles" without the need to perform centrifugation and collecting the vesicles using a needle. Reference:
