I'm working on the simulation five level cascaded H bridge with Matlab. I design my own pulse with modulation for each semiconductor in two ways. The first one, using three level modulation with two carriers in opposition for full H bridge like base, and the other one, using four carriers on phase displaced in 0.5 magnitude. When I use both modulation the result is the same, because when I put the grid interface as voltage sinusoidal source and the output inductor as constant current sinusoidal source the output voltage of the converter lose the reference like shown in the attached figure. I want to know if anybody can help me with this problem as soon as possible.

Why is there a current source in series with your voltage source on the ac-side?
Trying to force the current and the voltage on the ac-side is probably what causes the behaviour. I would suggest to make your simulation more realistic by replacing the current source by an inductane in series with a resistance. These added components would be the network impendance and can be relatively low.

Dear Luc The operation of the converter when it is connected to the network will be with the behavior shown in the figure. If I put an inductor and a resistor they behave like the load of the converter, and the network really imposes an different sinusoidal voltage. I'm trying to find the ideal behavior of the converter. If I do that you suggest look the result.
