Hey everyone, I see my expected ~6 kb band in my gel after linearizing my plasmid (acquired from DH5alpha cells via a plasmid purification kit).
However, I also see 4 extra 0.5-1 kb bands. The pattern looks similar to a series of nicked/linear/supercoiled/circular plasmid bands. Is this what it looks like to you all?

The extra bands are less than 0.8kb, quite small size compared to your expected 6kb band. Try to check if there is multiple restriction site for the restriction enzyme that you use. If the extra restriction sites are not within the 6kb linearized vector that you need for cloning, then you can just proceed and purify the 6kb linearized plasmid.
