Hi

I was wondering if anybody has experience of 3-Nitrotyrosine residues formed in the protein structure e.g. extracellular matrix (ECM) following treatment with detergents like sodium deoxycholate and disinfectant like Peracetic acid?

Peracetic acid has the potential to form sodium peracetate in presence of sodium hydroxide and it itself alone can decompose to produce acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide.

Sodium acetate, hydrogen peroxide and sodium nitrite has been used to cause nitrotyrosination under in vitro condition.

In my case, I am missing the nitrite source, which I am not able to figure out.

Thanks.
