I understand your point of view and be sure that I do not denigrate authors or other scientists associated with predatory or pseudoscientific journals and publishers.

First, I must tell you that I appreciate your honesty. It is indeed always better to specify your links with the publisher concerned.

Researchers are the first victims of these companies and it is above all the research sector that suffers from their practices. Because of their lack of rigor and honesty, they undermine the image of scientific publishing and researchers. Moreover - and this is what the T&F file highlights, they are able, for their own profits, to compromise public health and endanger populations. If you have evidence that the facts in my article are false, please share it.

For my part, I have indeed already published in peer reviewed journal, but never in open access journals for the moment. If I have not listed some journals, it's necessarily for one of three reasons:

- The journal is not predatory (or not yet).

- The journal is being added.

- The journal has not been reported yet.

If you have doubts about a journal, you can always report it, as indicated in the operation section of the Dolos list (https://www.professeur-alexandre-georges.info/operation). My team treats all requests with attention.

Although many predatory journals are open access journals, it is not a condition to be added to the list. Sometimes journals are not open access journals (or not completely), but are still added. It is the seriousness and the rigor of the journal and the quality of its peer review that is first evaluated. At the same time, we are investigating the editorial board, financial transparency, etc.

I thank you for your questions and, to be clear, being an author or editor for a predatory journal does not make you an incompetent scientist. Many well established researchers have already been scammed by these companies. Some are even added unknowingly in editorial boards. Finally, I want to clarify that no publisher is safe from our viewfinder. For T&F, I'm sorry, but according to the rules established for the Dolos list (https://www.professeur-alexandre-georges.info/operation), the addition is inevitable. I can not make exceptions and such practices can not remain without consequence. T&F will stay on the Dolos list, even if they have more serious reviews than CRT.

In addition to CRT, T&F owns Dove Press, which is clearly another predatory publisher. This is not the first time that T & F has this kind of practice (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taylor_%26_Francis#Controversies). Also, I can refer you to another recent article about their seriousness:

I do not agree that Taylor & Francis journals are predatory. We have published many articles in different Taylor and Francis journals and I can say that the Editorial process is world-class often better than other leading publishers. So there is no way we can make a general statement like this.
