I have to investigate the physical stability (possible conversion from a metastable form to another) of a compound dosed as a suspension in a PD study. I am wondering if it is possible to analyze directly the suspension (some kind of liquid sample) used as dosage formulation and understand its stability. If yes, what about the sample preparation?
you can analyze your suspension samples by xrpd. however, you need to be careful or you will obtain inaccurate xrpd data and misleading results.
For sample preparation you need to consider how to minimize or eliminate the possoble form conversions during sample preparation for xrpd: secondly, you need to increase s/n ratio as liquid would definitely increase background noise.
