Although many in situ posttensioned beams are continuous, there has been little research done on such continuous members composed of ultrahigh strength concrete strengthened with CFRP sheets. Therefore, for further investigation of the serviceability and ultimate responses of such members, an extensive experimental research program was undertaken on 20 full-scale I-beams and 24 rectangular unbonded, posttensioned nonstrengthened and strengthened continuous beams.
