Obviously Twitter/X has had a lot of issues lately, and a lot of academics are looking for a place to go. T2 is a platform that was started by a couple of early Twitter employees, and it's got a very friendly community
It's still invite only, but I do have invites available, specific to academics. I would love to get a strong community of academics going over there so we can connect with each other better, communicate our ideas, and also help out the general public.
I would love to set up sort of "virtual office hours" through #AcademicT2. We don't do enough outreach to the general community, and it hurts interest in and acceptance of current science.
