I work with Xenografts, hence human tumor cells of a breast cancer model.

I would now like to stimulate the tumor growth with leptin and was wondering whether murine or human leptin would bind both the murine leptinreceptor in the tumormicroevironment and the human one in the tumor cells ?!

I red that aa sequence homology of leptin is 84%. But I could not find anything regarding the receptors so far.

Also I think leptin in humans is produced as a pro-hormone and whether the mouse body could atcivate human leptin ?

Publications I found so far about xenograft do not specify which form they use...

I would highly appreciate any suggestion, hint or shared experience !!!

Thanks !
