I am running into issues with trying to score the PBR Avoidance Social, PBR Avoidance Physical, PBR Humor/Distraction, PBR Pain Persistence, and PBR Behavioral Endurance sub-scales. There is a mild pain and severe pain response is recorded and I am not certain if the mean of the two should be reported or what. Any takers?
You could perform descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation to report average and data dispersion for each scale and subscale. You could also do interscale correlations to examine the relationship between the variables measured by the used scales. Besides, depending on your study objectives, you might conduct a regression analysis to explain or predict the relationships between the variables. The following could be helpful.
