We are attracted to happiness
The pain is the black hole
When we try to absorb everything in we are in pain
Everything that we do on earth
Or every possible reaction of ours
Is caused by the quest to be happy
And get rid of the pain
But why is pain so scary?
Let's take an example, if you are innocent and you are in prison for the wrong reasons, why does it scare you? Because world is convinced that you are the culprit. Let's think otherwise. He kills hen every day and feeds me. The other day he killed my mom, why am I furious now? This proves I am born selfish. My survival is a mistake. My birth too was a crime.
I want to say that we try to reduce our pain. If our body heals pain by itself, why is pain so bad?

You are assuming that: Pain = Bad and Happiness = Good.
Life and Living is not that simple.
Pain is also a protective mechanism for our bodies.
You say “We are attracted to happiness” Those of us in Healthcare may actually be attracted to pain. Let me explain: we move towards pain as to intervene and alleviate pain. The intervening (and alleviation) brings us happiness And a sense of purpose. Would you then say that we are so attracted to happiness that we move through pain to get there?
Anecdotally, I have known people in pain (chronic) and I can say they were happy people (Granted they would prefer not to be in pain).
I guess my main point is that the binary existence you present: PAIN versus Happiness Assumes one occurs in the absence of the other.
I would argue that happiness increases as one approaches oneness with existence. And PAIN IS or ISN'T regardless .

It is law of nature. Nature tends to reduce pain. Like if we have a cut in our body it heals after some days naturally.
In most Instances. In my clinical practice, it is troubling to see chronic pain syndromes following surgery.
