With respect to studies on Marine and Coastal waters, Is there a difference between the meaning behind use of words "Water Quality Parameters" and "Environmental Quality parameters"?
Water quality refers specifically to the water column (e.g. dissolved oxygen, turbidity, nutrients, toxics). Environmental quality in the marine environment could refer to a broader range of metrics including sediment quality (e.g. toxicity, grain size), habitat availability and species diversity.
First I am agree with the opinion of David Whital. In common views, water quality includes specifically to the water column characteristics such as DO (mg/l), water pH, salinity (ppt) , transparency (cm), nitrate (mg/l), nitrite (mg/l), phosphate (mg/l), ammonia (mgl), total alkalinity etc. (eg. I use the term in the following proceeding paper).
Environmental quality parameters may be emphasis to a grater extent to be got the overall quality of the environment such as pollution (natural and man-made), rainfall, climate, toxicity, habitat, grain size, sediment, biological process, species composition, microbiological characteristic thus to a greater extent environmental standard. Its my own view Of course you may disagree with my opinion.
