Hello everyone, I am doing the experiment about humic acid and persulfate. And to determine the decreasing of humic acid, I need to measure NPOC. However, I forgot to remove inorganic carbon(IC) when I determine the NPOC. I wonder will the organic carbon give a huge effect on NPOC determining when the PH is around 7. I utilize milli-Q to make all the solution and also the humic acid is organic materials. The other materials which I used are NaOH and H2SO4. As for that I think the inorganic carbon will not give a huge effect on my result. But I am not sure about that. If it does, I may need to do all my experiment. So can anyone help me to solve these problem.
Thank you very much.
