Will the major metabolite produced in callus depend on the explant we choose?

For eg, if a metabolite is produced high in seeds, should seed be taken as a explant must and should. If leaf or stem is taken as an explant and callus induced will the conc. Of the metabolite vary?

At the end callus is just a mass of totipotent cell so will it depend on type of explant?
