How could they admit that a conversational agent might evaluate an emotion that IT would be incapable to represent for IT self, in othe words to animate without being a body?

my definition of an emotion is the representation of what a circumstance means to ME.

In my opinion the question could also be: in what extense may a conversational agent adapt to cultural and emotional background of senior adults and, in turn, how can new technology be based on a simple and understandable language for older individuals?

Thanks Françoise Schenk , that is a really interesting thing. The definition itself of emotion in order to be digitalized and afterthat analysed.

Many advances in computer vision are taking advantage of facial gestures to measure not only emotion but also age. As far as I know the analysis of voice is growing in order to detect mental disorder with hopefull results.

Then, identifying the emotion with a exact definition and the scope of each one is crutial to go on.

Thanks Leonardo Massoni . I totally agree with you. We've just started a Pilot with a huge sample for as almost 100 users. And after testing our tool with a focus group we detect few alternatives answer. So, it has been decided to go on with the validation.

And answering the question you suggest is incredibly true.

The understand of older users is quite different from the focus group. In fact, also it is quite different between them. That means our initial focus group was not good as we though. However, our team want to think that it is really possitive, in terms of the huge variety of answer to say the same is incridibly enormous.
