I have screeded some kinds of fungi, while my lab have no experience about biobattery, and I want to do some research about this direction. will You help me a little, cause after I have read some articles, it seemed bacteria will be the most suitble material for biobattery. I really want to know will fungi do the same role?and How?

Very interesting issue. The development of electricity generation technology based on cultivation of microorganisms, e.g. bacteria, fungi, etc., may be a new type of renewable energy in the future. This could revolutionize the energy sector. Considering the exhausting mineral deposits exploited for the needs of classical energy based on the combustion of minerals, as well as the growing greenhouse gas emission, the ever-faster global warming process of this type of bio-renewable energy sources should be developed and research works should be conducted on this type of energy sources.
I have no information whether fungi can be used for bio-battery.This topic does not belong to my research interest as my major work is on pathogenic fungi.
I support the view of Dr.Salih that no scientific information is available on this interesting topic.However, sincere attempts should be directed to develop the electricity generation technology based on the cultivation of fungi. If the scientists succeed in this research, it will certainly revolutionize the energy sector. I wish if some one try on this wonderful project. It will be breakthrough research in Mycology.
