Proselytising refers to the act of sharing one's religious convictions with the intention of converting others to the same faith. Although the concept has acquired somewhat negative connotations over time, it is often undertaken as an act of obedience to a religious calling to share the "good news" central to one's beliefs. The negative perception largely stems from the attitude, found particularly among some major religions, of presenting one's faith as superior to others..
I will not participate in religious proselytization simply because religion or faith come from one's convictions. Most people are born into one faith or the other and it's left for them to know, and understand what that faith is all about. Faiths practitioners should endeavour to make their faith expressive by their moral lifestyle.
For, for some reason, the same reason we wish to share anything. To closer align the systems before us. Truly there is Ego at play, as it will tell you that IF you say the right words and do the right dance, THEN this person will convert. But Ego has a habit of negating pain, which will be experienced in manifestations of war, pillaging etc. In my worldview truth is found ONLY between observers or enteties, so the act of proseltyzing is the natural inclination to seek truth in this way, the misguidedness then appears to emerge from the human writhing experienced when Ego is not fulfilled. The writing produces result but the emotional bumpers at play dictate nature of that result.
