I have done the FTIR of pure drug, pure polymer, and drug-loaded polymeric nanoparticles. But I did not get any drug-related peaks in FTIR or drug-loaded polymeric nanoparticles. Can any help me with an explanation or references?
The problem from that case may occur due to the influence of organic absorption peak from polymer, especially if the component and structure both polymer and drugs are relatively similar. One of suggestion to support the characterization of the drug-loaded in the polymeric particle is to do the HPLC.
Besides the accurate response of Early Zahwa Alharissa , another option may be the deconvolution of the FTIR peaks, with some software. It is very probable that your drug signals are hidden by the polymer signals, so you can try to make the deconvolution of the peaks in order to find this hidden stuff.
