In many situations in practice, the explanatory variables (xi) may not remain independent due to various reasons. The situation where the explanatory variables are highly intercorrelated is referred to as multicollinearity.

When a dependent parameter (y) depends upon so many independent variables (x1, x2,...,xn) and y has a good correlation with x1, x2,...,xn . But some of them among x1, x2,...,xn are highly correlated with each other.

I just want to know is there any book or journal reference to support this exclusion of mutually correlated data? Please give me it. Thank you.
